The Siervas de San Jose (SSJ), a congregation of worker-religious women has been here in the Philippines for over 78 years and through its different apostolates, she makes present the “Nazareth spirituality” in the SSJ centers in the different parts of the country with the following excertpts from its visión-mission:
‘the SSJ …are catalyst of transformation in the world of work, upholding the dignity of the worker and the sanctifying value of work. ‘
‘… are engage in ministries that offer alternative responses and approaches to the world of work particularly to the socially challenged sectors such as women and youth at risk.’
‘…Respond to the urgent calls of the church for justice and integrity and care of creation’
Faithful to her visión-mission and as a concrete expression of her visión & misión., SSJ founded the Mo. Bonifacia Rodgriguez Foundation, Inc in 1992 which operates 6 Talleres de Nazaret .
Why go Fair Trade?
The Mo. Bonifacia Rodgriguez Foundation, Inc ( MBRFI) has just registered in August 2010 as a Fair Trade Organization of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) – Philippines. Embracing Fair Trade in the context of our own development framework, Fair Trade could be integrated in our faith-based activities in our different apostolate centers and become FAIR TRADE ADVOCATES, where we offer this movement our ‘Work Spirituality’ as an added quality upholding the dignity of work & the workers.
